Godskitchen's 10th Anniversary CONFIRMED !!
In spite of much anxious speculation to the contrary, Godskitchen will be returning to Australia for a national tour this October. ‘Angel in White’ will the theme for this year‘s parties, and promoter Future Entertainment will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of delivering the brand to our shores. It’s become one of the premier trance events on the dance music calendar and while the recent success of Armin van Burren’s triumphant tour will be pretty hard to beat, Godskitchen 2008 is sporting a class lineup – that ITM has confirmed will be intact across all states.
The musical focus this year is the fresh wave of ‘nu-trance’ DJ/producers who’ve been storming the clubs and stirring up plenty of excitement over the past few years. Heading up the list is Holland tech-trance titan Sander Van Doorn whose productions have sent shockwaves through the trance scene, with last year’s anthem Riff coming to epitomise the tech trance sound and getting a hammering form all manner of superstar DJs. Right alongside him will be John O’Callaghan, another rising star who’s been credited for pushing trance forward. Big Sky was easily one of the biggest tunes to hit the clubs last year, but he’s just as well known for fusing techno and electro into his productions than he is for writing hand-in-the-air anthems.
Rounding up the bill will be the euphoric sounds of Holland’s Menno De Jong as well as Jon O’Bir, another up-and-comer who’s built his name on solid residencies and performances at Godskitchen events around the world. And while last year’s party in Melbourne set the bar particularly high in terms of production, Future Entertainment has told us we can “expect bigger and better for 2008.” While venue details are yet to be confirmed for the Sydney event, there’s the tantalising potential of a stadium-style party that’s on par with what our Southern cousins enjoy every year.
Tickets on sale soon. The Godskitchen ‘Angel in White’ tour will be landing on the following dates around the country…
Saturday 4th October – Melbourne, Hisense Arena (previously Vodafone Arena)
Sunday 5th October – Gold Coast, The Bedroom
Friday 10th October – Perth, Metro City
Saturday 11th October – Sydney (Venue TBC)
YAYYYY .. Dates are finally released.
